Chemically Bound Water Technology
When exposed to fire, Akusta materials slowly release chemically bound water, generating steam to provide a cooling effect and effectively isolate heat. Each square meter of 3mm-thick film can release up to 1,860 liters of steam, significantly slowing the spread of fire.


Thermoplastic Flexibility
Akusta is a thermoplastic resin material, meaning it can be processed using common plastic processing techniques such as injection molding and thermoforming, making it versatile for various applications across different industries.
Sound Insulation Properties
In addition to fire resistance, this material also offers acoustic absorption properties, effectively reducing noise. This is achieved through the combination of polyolefins and inorganic components like aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide.
